As many of you know, I am a major eBay fan. So, I wanted to share some quick news with some of you who may not be major sellers on eBay or who are wanting to get into selling on eBay.
They have just announced that they are going to be lowering their insertion fees, making adding a gallery to your listing free, and lower prices for other features. This means that listing an auction at 99 cents with a gallery image will go from costing you 55 cents to only 15 cents! This will really pay off as sellers are listing auctions that start at a higher price – such as $9.99, $19.99, etc.
As well, they have also announced that there are going to be other rewards for sellers. These include more search exposure through Best Match, fee discounts for PowerSellers, and increased protection for PowerSellers.
eBay will also be making some significant changes in their feedback system to help increase buyer confidence and showcase good sellers.
Check out the announcement and updates here: http://pages.ebay.com/sell/update08/overview/index.html
These changes will be effective on 2/20/08.
…and they are raising final value fees which is raising the overall price for most auctions…
