Yes…you read that right. I don’t know how many of you may have been expecting to see this coming but it’s here.
I was contacted about 2 weeks ago by a company that is in the student preparation and information niche with an offer to buy out the site. As many of you have noticed, posting has been much more sporadic than I’d like. This came at a great time and will allow me to move on to some other projects.
Do not fret though, I’ll still be posting here on Dorm Room Biz, sharing my experiences, and making videos. However, you can still follow my journey at ChrisPund.com where I’ll soon begin blogging fulltime. The site’s not fully functional yet but should launch in the next couple days.
Dorm Room Biz will not die. The new owners have a great respect for the content that has been published as well as the audience that the site has and wants to keep it alive. Especially in an economy such as that of today, it is dishearting for students to realize that they need to try to find a job with record unemployment rates, so pushing out more information, resources, and help on the topic of student entrepreneurship is still going to happen.
I can’t release too many details of the deal except that you shouldn’t expect much to change here. A new theme will be released with in a few days, which has been in the works for a month or so now, and then more regular posting will begin. The company has bloggers ready to infuse the site with content and I know you all will love it.
