For about the last year, I have been using Google Adsense on my websites and still have not been able to fully perfect my way to implement them and utilize their options/abilities fully. I am right at the border of reaching the payment amount and have been having a very stagnate past couple weeks. Usually during a week I can pull in enough clicks through about 3 different websites to generate a few steady dollars. No, for me, I consider that good since I am not doing anything special currently to effectively monetize my sites. So, the last couple of weeks have been a struggle to really get clicks that pay.
Here are a couple different things that I am going to start doing to try and enhance the “clickage†of ads and also to get more relevant ads for the content.
• Ads on the individual post pages to better concentrate the ads to the content.
• Have ads run through to my RSS feed readers to maybe receive clicks that way, from people who may not usually visit the actual site.
• Work on making my posts more keyword dense and effectively bring more focused ads.
• Change the ad size on the ads that are currently displayed under the first few posts on the main page. Adding another ad in that section will give readers more of an opportunity to click ads that may be more focused to what they are looking for.
With implementing these few small changes, I am hoping to increase the ad revenue that these bring in. If they work and increase my revenue I will be very happy!
I would love to hear your suggestions on making Google Adsense better displayed on the site or experiences that you may have from using Adsense on your own websites/blogs. What are you doing to make sure that your ads are clicked? How are you optimizing your site for them?
